To ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process, please follow these important guidelines:

🚗 Enter from S. Polk Street

➤ All parent vehicles must enter through S. Polk for pickup.

🚦 Form Three Lines

➤ Use all designated lanes and remain in your vehicle while waiting for your student.

🚸 Watch for Students Walking

➤ Be alert and drive slowly. Student safety is our top priority.

➡️ Right Turn Only When Exiting

➤ To keep traffic moving safely and efficiently, all cars must turn right when exiting the parking lot.

Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!

We’re thrilled that you’ve chosen to be part of the Hulcy STEAM family for the 2025–2026 school year! Whether you're a returning family or joining us for the first time, we are truly excited to welcome you into our vibrant and diverse community.

At D.A. Hulcy STEAM, our mission is to provide an exceptional education that equips every student to become an analytical thinker, an effective communicator, and a collaborative problem-solver in an ever-changing global society.

Your partnership with us is  essential for the success of your student inside and outside of the classroom.  It is our goal to be a resource for you by providing you with tools and strategies to help your student reach the next level academically, socially, behaviorally, and in extracurricular activities.

Our Theme This Year: “Panther Nation: Mindset is the Master Key!”

This year, we're embracing the transformative power of a positive mindset. Students are faced with so many challenges in today’s society and they are trying to find the answers from so many different sources.  This year our focus is to help them look within themselves and use their minds as the “master key”! Our students are naturally curious and will continue to grow in character, while our dedicated staff cultivates each child’s unique strengths through engaging, STEAM-based, project-driven lessons and activities.. Throughout the year, we will also highlight the value of having a  growth mindset as the key to unlocking limitless potential and achieving success. We ask for your support in encouraging your students to activate positive affirmations and  a growth mindset inside and outside of school.

New Policies and Updates for a Focused Learning Environment

To foster a safe, distraction-free, and structured environment, the following changes will take effect on the first day of school (August 12):

• Electronic Device Policy: All electronic devices (cell phones, headphones, AirPods, gaming devices, etc.) will be collected during the 1st period and returned at the end of the day.
• Food Delivery Policy: No outside food deliveries (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats) will be accepted during or after school hours.
• Same Uniform Policy- worn with Panther pride- shirt tails tucked.  No non- Hulcy jackets worn in classes.  Navy school pants only. Clear backpacks only. 
  • Spirit Shirt/College Shirt/Jean Day will not begin until October 17, 2025

Reminders

• Remember to complete your 2025 applications.  All students (returning and new to the district) must have completed applications on file by the first day of school.  Ensure you have all documents uploaded and your application is COMPLETE.
• Join our communication site:  Class DoJo  Click on the link and join the 
• Have you signed up to be a PANTHER Parent?  Sign-up at hulcypaths@gmail.com  We have several volunteer opportunities.  There is also an open seat on our PTO board for Treasurer.  Let us know if you are interested.
• On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, STAAR 3-8 results for families will be made available in the Family Portal. The Family Portal is available for parents to view test scores for the Texas Assessment Program. The portal can be accessed via the Texas Assessment.gov website, https://www.TXFamilyPortal.org, or by using the single sign on feature in PowerSchool. Principals were asked to share the Accessing Student's State Assessment Scores through PowerSchool - English and Accessing Student's State Assessment Scores through PowerSchool - Spanish with parents prior to the last day of school.

¡Bienvenidos al Año Escolar 2025–2026!

¡Estamos encantados de que haya elegido ser parte de la familia Hulcy STEAM para el año escolar 2025–2026! Ya sea que regresen con nosotros o se unan por primera vez, estamos muy emocionados de darles la bienvenida a nuestra comunidad vibrante y diversa.

En D.A. Hulcy STEAM, nuestra misión es brindar una educación excepcional que prepare a cada estudiante para convertirse en un pensador analítico, un comunicador eficaz y un solucionador de problemas colaborativo en una sociedad global en constante cambio.

Su colaboración con nosotros es esencial para el éxito de su estudiante dentro y fuera del salón de clases. Nuestro objetivo es ser un recurso para usted al proporcionarle herramientas y estrategias para ayudar a su estudiante a alcanzar el siguiente nivel académica, social, conductual y extracurricularmente.

Nuestro Tema Este Año: “Nación Panther: ¡La Mentalidad es la Llave Maestra!”
Este año, adoptamos el poder transformador de una mentalidad positiva. Los estudiantes enfrentan muchos desafíos en la sociedad actual y buscan respuestas en diferentes fuentes. Este año, nuestro enfoque será ayudarlos a mirar dentro de sí mismos y usar su mente como la “llave maestra”. Nuestros estudiantes son naturalmente curiosos y seguirán creciendo en carácter, mientras nuestro dedicado personal cultiva las fortalezas únicas de cada niño a través de lecciones y actividades atractivas basadas en STEAM y en proyectos. A lo largo del año, también resaltaremos el valor de tener una mentalidad de crecimiento como la clave para desbloquear un potencial ilimitado y lograr el éxito. Le pedimos su apoyo para alentar a sus estudiantes a activar afirmaciones positivas y una mentalidad de crecimiento dentro y fuera de la escuela.

Nuevas Políticas y Actualizaciones para un Ambiente de Aprendizaje Enfocado
Para fomentar un ambiente seguro, sin distracciones y estructurado, los siguientes cambios entrarán en vigor el primer día de clases (12 de agosto):

• Política de Dispositivos Electrónicos: Todos los dispositivos electrónicos (teléfonos celulares, audífonos, AirPods, consolas de juego, etc.) serán recolectados durante el primer período y devueltos al final del día.
• Política de Entrega de Comida: No se aceptarán entregas de comida externa (por ejemplo, DoorDash, Uber Eats) durante ni después del horario escolar.
• Misma Política de Uniforme – Usado con orgullo Panther – camisas por dentro del pantalón. No se permiten chamarras que no sean de Hulcy en clase. Solo pantalones escolares azul marino. Solo mochilas transparentes.
  • Día de camiseta de espíritu/universidad/jeans comenzará el 17 de octubre de 2025.

Recordatorios

• Recuerde completar sus solicitudes 2025. Todos los estudiantes (que regresan y nuevos en el distrito) deben tener solicitudes completas en el archivo para el primer día de clases. Asegúrese de que todos los documentos estén cargados y que su solicitud esté COMPLETA.
